James Carmody

James grew up in a fishing community south of Boston, MA. After high school he worked with urban youth through a nonprofit organization, City Year. He went on to receive a Bachelors of Science from Fairfield University while playing rugby and studying business. In 2003 he relocated to San Diego and was immediately drawn to the community. As a mortgage advisor, James is committed to taking a hands on approach with his clients. He applies the perspective that “a home is your biggest investment and needs to be part of a comprehensive plan. My goal is to empower clients through education.” He has a proven track record of helping his clients achieve their dreams. He has personally helped over 2,000 families purchase and refinance properties since joining the industry in 2003. James enjoys an active lifestyle including ocean swimming, skiing, golf, volunteering with the San Diego Nice Guys, leading introductions for Landmark Worldwide, hosting Rise Up Network to spotlight servant leaders work within the San Diego region, and most importantly spending time with his wife, toddler son, and yellow lab.
